What is Chiropractic

God has given the body the amazing ability to heal and protect itself. Chiropractic adjustments remove the nerve interference caused by subluxations thus allowing the body to function the way God designed.

What is a subluxation?

A subluxation occurs when a vertebra of the spine is not in its normal alignment. This misalignment places pressure on a nerve or nerves, altering its function.

How does this affect my health?

Your spinal nerves control every function in your body, from an eye blink to a bowel movement. If a nerve's function is altered, the signal flowing along that nerve can be impaired. This impairment can negatively affect the function of the cells and tissues that make up organs, thus affecting the function of the whole organ.

The vertebra that is not in its normal alignment, or position, moves in an abnormal movement pattern or is prevented from moving at all. This leads to injury and degeneration at that segment or others connected to it.

Can I prevent this from happening to me?

Every single day we place our bodies under stress. We feed it unhealthy food, we spend hours sitting and looking down at a smartphone, we have stressful lives in general. Our children have birth trauma, carry heavy backpacks, and themselves are spending hours looking down at some form of a digital device. Through these stresses our bodies are being injured little by little. Sometimes it appears as a single trauma, but it was the little injuries that lead to the big one.

Haun Chiropractic can address these vertebral subluxations and correct them through gentle, safe, and specific adjustments. Your body can then move and function the way it was designed to. You can then better handle the daily stresses that you experience. This will change your life and therefore change the lives of your family and your community.

"Subluxation is very real. We have documented it to the extent that no one can dispute its existence. Vertebral subluxations change the entire health of the body by causing structural dysfunction of the spine and nerve interference. The weight of a dime on a spinal nerve will reduce nerve transmission by as much as 60%." (Chang Ha Suh, PhD Spinal Biomechanics Expert, University of Colorado)
